Types of Roles


Providing an innovative dining, drinking and conference facility with theatrical flair requires a range of talented chefs and friendly servers over a range of levels and employment types.  

Box Office

The approachable Box Office team provide excellent customer service while proactively selling tickets in this customer-facing role offering fun and flexibility.



Often the hidden function of a theatre, these heroes make the show happen from assisting with the ‘get-in’ to managing the sound and lighting. 



The marketing and promotions teams ensure our customers know about the broad-range of incredible events within the venues' many spaces in this busy but exciting department.


Administration and Management

Off the stage a gifted group of administrators, finance and management teams ensure the venues run smoothly. 


Technician (Casual)

We're looking for a casual technician to join our Technical Team. In the role you will assist in show operations, get-ins, get-outs and other related duties within the main auditorium, Studio and other areas of the venue. As well as the routine maintenance of the facility, as directed by the Technical and Building Manager. Our ideal candidate will have proven experience within a theatre environment. Technician (full time)

The Churchill Theatre is one of the South East’s leading live entertainment venues, welcoming over 200,000 customers through its doors every year.  It has enjoyed a reputation and legacy for launching major productions for national tour and West End transfer.  The eclectic programme features a popular array of top-quality musicals, drama, comedy, dance, family shows, one night events, and a world-class pantomime. 

We are looking for a full time technician to join our Technical Team. As part of the team you will support all aspects of the technical departments’ activities including but not limited to fit-ups, get-outs, rigging/de-rigging sound and lighting equipment and operating all stage equipment.

Casual Hospitality Assistants 

We are currently expanding our Hospitality team who work Front of House and in the Churchill’s bars and restaurant.  

We are looking for people who are lively, articulate and have an engaging and an excellent manner when dealing with the public, visitors, and colleagues. If you have a can-do attitude, have a passion for offering high customer service and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure you are just the person we are looking for.

Venue Manager (Full-time)

The Churchill Theatre Bromley is one of the South East’s leading live entertainment venues, welcoming over 200,000 customers through its doors every year. An eclectic programme features a popular array of top-quality musicals, drama, comedy, dance, family shows, one night events, and a world class pantomime. The theatre is proud to present many ‘Bromley Premiere’ shows, allowing audiences to see brand new productions prior to the West End or National tour.

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team.  The successful candidate will work with our current Venue Managers, and will have the ability to take control and help lead our team of hospitality assistants in order to deliver a service that exceeds our customers’ expectation. 

Our Venue Managers are responsible for delivering the front line, customer facing services of our actioned-packed programme of events. Be it our main house theatre production, an intimate performance in our Studio space, or a fine dining / entertainment event in the Lounge.  The Venue Manager must always demonstrate an approach that is versatile and flexible enough to meet the differing demands of our customers and the venue’s differing business needs.

As one of our Venue Managers, you will take on Duty Management shifts on a rotational basis (at least four Duty Management shift per week). You will also be required to help with our recruitment and training processes, organisation of our staffing rotas, and also provide administrational support for our restaurant and dining events.

This role is ideally suited to someone who has demonstrable experience at least at supervisory level, and has a desire to grow and develop a career within venue and hospitality management.  We are a fun and caring team who always try to get the best out of ourselves and those we work with, so if you want to be a part of something special, we’d love to read your application.

Meet the team

Sandra Lehane

Sandra has been a staff member at the Churchill Theatre since 2013, with her initial role being a Front of House host. Sandra stayed in this role for four years before being promoted to Front of House Team Leader in 2017. A number of promotions followed in quick succession with Sandra becoming a Duty Manager in 2018 and then a Hospitality Manager in 2019. 

Sandra says, "Working at the Churchill gives me the opportunity to indulge my passion for all types of theatre. I love the diversity of both the shows and our audience and am lucky enough to work with a wonderful team of people. There is something different going on every day and I am now fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity of organising our very popular and successful themed dining events".
