Types of Roles

Hospitality

Providing an innovative dining, drinking and conference facility with theatrical flair requires a range of talented chefs and friendly servers over a range of levels and employment types.  

Box Office

The approachable Ticket Office team provide excellent customer service while proactively selling tickets in this customer-facing role offering fun and flexibility.

 

Technical

Often the hidden function of a theatre, these heroes make the show happen from assisting with the ‘get-in’ to managing the sound and lighting. 

 

Marketing

The marketing and promotions teams ensure our customers know about the broad-range of incredible events within the venues' many spaces in this busy but exciting department.

 

Administration and Management

Off the stage a gifted group of administrators, finance and management teams ensure the venues run smoothly. 

Sous Chef

Opportunity for great work-life balance!

The Churchill Theatre has an exciting vacancy for a talented Sous Chef!

Autumn sees a brand new kitchen and restaurant development within the theatre, alongside private event catering and gala dinners. No two days are the same!

With limited late nights, avg 40 hour weeks and superb work-life balance, this is a unique opportunity in the heart of Bromley.

Salary c.£22k-£24k

Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Assistant to support our exciting food development plans within the venue. Excellent work-life balance with minimum late nights and flexible hours. 

Must have a good understanding of food hygiene, a can-do attitude and be keen to learn.

Perhaps you would like to broaden your work experience, give something back to your community...or perhaps you simply want to meet people and make new friends. Whatever the reasons, volunteering with Churchill Theatre is a really rewarding experience!

As a Churchill Theatre Volunteer Usher you’ll be the face of the theatre, meeting and greeting our guests and ensuring that they have a fantastic experience when they visit us. We’ll train, guide and support you so that you can volunteer for us with knowledge and confidence. We know that everyone has commitments in their lives, so we’re flexible about when you volunteer.

Meet the team

We’re committed to training and developing our staff, preparing them for their next step in whichever direction that might be. Here’s the proof.

Ed Brimley

Ed first joined the Churchill Theatre team as a casual technician in 1990. He gained fulltime employment as Sound Technician in 2000 before moving into the Technical Managers role in 2003.

Ed says: ”No two shows are the same. I have had the pleasure of working with many great designers, lighting designers, sound designers and technicians over the years and still enjoy the buzz you get from an audience’s reaction after a 60 hour production week!”

 

Bob Dean

Bob joined the Churchill Theatre in 2004 as a Handyman before becoming Maintenance Technician in 2005.

Bob says, "I love working with the team at the Churchill Theatre – they’re a happy bunch and there is never a dull moment!"
