Types of Roles
Providing an innovative dining, drinking and conference facilities with theatrical flair requires a range of talented chefs and friendly servers over a range of levels and employment types.
The approachable Ticket Office team provide excellent customer service while proactively selling tickets in this customer-facing role offering fun and flexibility.
Often the hidden function of a theatre, these heroes make the show happen from assisting with the ‘get-in’ to managing the sound and lighting.
The marketing and promotions teams ensure our customers know about the broad-range of incredible events within the venues' many spaces in this busy but exciting department.

Off the stage a gifted group of administrators, finance and management teams ensure the venues run smoothly.
Marketing and Sales Manager
The Marketing and Sales Manager has overall senior management responsibility for the development and successful, cost-effective operation of the Marketing and Sales function of the Churchill Theatre.
A natural communicator at all levels with excellent numeracy, literacy and IT skills; you’ll have attention to detail, a flair for campaign strategy and drive and direction in your creative ideas. With strong leadership you’ll be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and able to meet deadlines and targets with confidence.

Marketing and PR Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the fast-paced marketing team at the Churchill Theatre. Reporting to the Marketing Manager you will promote The Churchill Theatre to external audiences to ensure attendance and financial targets are met through robust and creative strategies. Highly organised and creative, you will have experience of press and marketing in a live entertainment environment and an ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

As a Churchill Theatre Volunteer Usher you’ll be the face of the theatre, meeting and greeting our guests and ensuring that they have a fantastic experience when they visit us. We’ll train, guide and support you so that you can volunteer for us with knowledge and confidence. We know that everyone has commitments in their lives, so we’re flexible about when you volunteer.

Meet the team
We’re committed to training and developing our staff, preparing them for their next step in whichever direction that might be. Here’s the proof.
Ed first joined the Churchill Theatre team as a casual technician in 1990. He gained fulltime employment as Sound Technician in 2000 before moving into the Technical Managers role in 2003.
Ed says: ”No two shows are the same. I have had the pleasure of working with many great designers, lighting designers, sound designers and technicians over the years and still enjoy the buzz you get from an audience’s reaction after a 60 hour production week!”
Bob joined the Churchill Theatre in 2004 as a Handyman before becoming Maintenance Technician in 2005.
Bob says, "I love working with the team at the Churchill Theatre – they’re a happy bunch and there is never a dull moment!"
