Opportunities With Creative Learning

Work Experience

***Our Work Experience programme is currently suspended due to COVID – 19. Check back soon for information about our 2022 programme.***

Work Experience at the Churchill will involve long days, evenings and weekend. You should only apply if you are available and willing to work these.

We are only able to offer very limited places. Due to the high volume of requests and to ensure we show equity for all applications, our process is as follows:

  • Students must apply themselves (if a student needs any additional support with applying, please let us know) by sending in a CV and covering letter which clearly states their school, year group and normal place of residence. We prefer that these are emailed to
  • We also would like to know why they have chosen to apply to the Churchill Theatre in particular for their Work Experience, what skills and experience they can bring to a busy theatre environment.
  • An interest in acting and performing is useful; however these are not the focus for work experience. Applicants purely interested in performing should research our Young Company details.
  • Work experience at the Churchill explores all aspects of working in a professional theatre, however an interest in back of house is desirable.
  • The dates are fixed; we are unable to offer any placements on different dates of the year.
  • Applications will be reviewed and emails sent out to successful candidates

For info: The application process is extremely competitive, and due to the high numbers we receive, we are sorry but will not be contacting unsuccessful applicants.

Alternatively, we are always looking for volunteers to support Creative Learning projects and performances within the theatre. If you would like to be contacted when these opportunities arise please contact
